"This house is absolutely beautiful, and the location right on the ocean with the surf coursing over the lava just off the back lawn is incredible. The house is incredibly well stocked with everything you'll need from the kitchen to pool / beach toys to snorkeling equipment. My son and I walked 20 feet to snorkel behind the house, which is hard to reproduce many places in the world. We had a great but too short 4 nights here - we will be back..."

"Perhaps the most revealing thing I can say about our time here in Puako is that we did not want to leave. Everything we wanted in our trip to Hawaii was right here--excellent snorkeling, stunning sunsets, comfortable sleeping, thoughtfully-appointed kitchen, and a beautifully decorated home. It is clear that this home is loved and cared for, not simply a rental by the sea. Our memories here will last longer than any souvenir--our coconut bocce games, the magnificent octopuses, the time we spent eating on the deck as the sun sank beyond the horizon, the tradewinds at night. We have been to the Big Island many times, stayed in wonderful places, but this was by far the finest experience we have ever had."

"This home was everything we hoped for. A grand view of the ocean! Listening to the waves, watching the sunsets, seeing the whales and turtles every day was paradise. We cooked, relaxed, snorkeled, rode bikes, walked the road and beach and loved swimming laps too. The house was immaculate when we arrived. The kitchen is very well stocked and amazingly organized. The studio/storage area had all the beach toys and supplies we needed and more. Puako is a charming community, with a wonderful aloha welcome. We will be back!"

"We had a fabulous trip. There is nothing like returning from a day at the beach to such a peaceful and beautiful location. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves, having sea turtles climb on the lava rocks 20 feet from the hammock, enjoying a pina colada on the deck while looking at the ocean. This is my paradise, and we will be back. Lovely accommodations and a well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. The only thing that could have made our trip better would have been a trip extension!"

"Aloha! Start your dream vacation by booking this house as your first step. The oceanfront location in Puako, massive lanai and grassy backyard, additional 2nd level lanais off the bedrooms, spacious and thoughtfully designed interior with wonderful sleep inducing cross-breezes are all highlights. Some of the best snorkeling and scuba on the island is located directly behind the house. Turtles visit the volcanic rock behind the house on a daily basis. The neighbors are friendly. The house is stocked with boogie boards, large cooler, beach chairs, water shoes, and 2 bicycles. The kitchen is also very well stocked with numerous spices, condiments and everything you need to make delicious meals both inside as well as outside on the large gas grill. The 25 meter lap pool and hot tub are extra bonuses for a luxurious experience. The overall location of Puako is great with some of the best beaches such as Hapuna, Beach 69, and Manua Lani Beach Club are all about 10 minutes away. I rode a bike to Hapuna which was a good workout. Walks up and down Puako Beach Drive were terrific. Our family time was well spent playing games, making ginger bread houses on Christmas Day, and many meals on the spacious dining space on the Lanai. The sounds of the ocean break 24/7 and lava pools in your back yard are a bonus while staying here. In summary this unique house is a dream come true! We will be forever grateful to the owners for making their wonderful home available to my family for two unforgettable weeks during the holiday season. Mahalo!"
